Oak wood Keepsake Box accented with exotic Black Palmm edged with band saw blade, Wood Knife Box
A wood keepsake box made out of prime hand picked Oak. We used the exotic wood Black Palm as an accent wood for the handles and sides. We took up even more by placing a 3/4 inch band saw blade around the outside perimeter. Talk about a unique box; this is it! The lid lifts completely off, and one could purchase elsewhere an engraved plaque to make this keepsake box the perfect gift! We also have felt tabs on the bottom so no worries on where it may be placed. This will last for generations!
We applied natural stain to this to allow the beauty of the oak and black palm wood to shine through. We then applied a poly satin finish over to protect.
A wooden lidded box with inside dimensions of 10.25 inches long, 2.75 inches wide, and 1.5 inches tall could serve a variety of purposes due to its relatively compact size and elongated shape. Here are some potential uses:
