A handmade Ash log mounted on a maple lid and box with a Walnut wood bottom. We left the natural log shape of this ash and put some finish touches in it. There is even a naturally made marking in the lid that adds so much to this box. We added a decorative border around the base that really makes it stand out. We have a natural stain on this in order to preserve the natural beauty of the wood and applied poly to protect the wood.

Talk about a unique box; this is it! The lid is hinged with a back stop so when you open the lid it won't fall completely back and you could keep it open for display. One could purchase elsewhere an engraved plaque to make this keepsake box the perfect gift! We also have felt tabs on the bottom, and also on the inside of the box. There are wooden pegs on front and back corners that not only strengthen the box, but add a decorative touch. This will last for generations!

A wooden hinged box with inside dimensions of 10 1/8 inches long, 2 3/8 inches wide, and 1 1/4 inch tall could serve a variety of purposes due to its relatively compact size and elongated shape. Here are some potential uses:
